How Our Classes Work
4-Week Sprint
Intensive classroom instruction — two nights per week, three hours per session. Twenty-four hours of focused, live code training per course.
Live & Interactive
Every session is live on Google Meet. You see the instructor, ask questions in real time, and work through code problems together — not a recorded webinar.
Exam-Focused
Master codebook navigation, mandatory vs. permissive language, and the trap questions that catch unprepared candidates. Every minute serves the exam.
Small Class Size
Personal instruction, not a lecture hall. Every student gets attention. Every question gets answered. That is the Live Oak standard.
2026–2027 Class Schedule

One-on-One Tutoring
Your Code. Your Pace. Your Schedule.
Sometimes a group class is not enough. If you are struggling with a specific code section, preparing for a retake, or just need focused one-on-one attention before exam day — private tutoring with Live Oak Academy is the most direct path to passing.
Every session is conducted live via Google Meet with an ICC Preferred Provider who inspects in the field every day. You bring the questions. We bring the answers — with the code references to back them up.
Sessions are flexible, focused, and built entirely around what you need. No wasted time. No generic curriculum. Just you, your instructor, and the code.
Workforce Development Programs
Live Oak Academy works directly with building departments and jurisdictions to develop structured training programs for their inspection staff. From new inspector onboarding to certification preparation and continuing education, we build programs around your department’s specific needs, timelines, and code adoption schedule.
Every program is developed and delivered by an ICC Preferred Provider with active field inspection experience — giving your staff training that is rooted in real-world code application, not just textbook theory.
“We do not train inspectors to pass tests. We train them to do the job right — and the exam takes care of itself.”
Whether your jurisdiction is onboarding new hires, preparing staff for upcoming code changes, or building a long-term professional development framework, Live Oak Academy has the credentials, curriculum, and experience to get it done.
